ALERT: Sandboxx and Base Mailroom Closures October 2025

Upcoming Sandboxx and Columbus (Indigenous Peoples’) Printing Schedule

Please review the following timeline for information regarding the upcoming Sandboxx Team Event and Columbus Day mailroom closures.

• Tuesday, 10/7: Sandboxx Mailroom Open. Have all letters submitted prior to 5pm ET, Tuesday 10/7 for standard processing delivery and to avoid upcoming mailroom closures for Columbus Day.
  
• Wednesday, 10/8-Sunday, 10/12: Sandboxx Mailroom Closed for Annual Team Event. Letters submitted will be processed on Monday, 10/13 for delivery after Columbus Day Holiday depending on Training Base (View Base schedules below).
  
• Monday, 10/13: Sandboxx Mailroom Open. Letters will be processed and shipped for Tuesday, 10/14 delivery (except for MCRD San Diego, which will be scheduled for Wednesday, 10/15 delivery).

Army Base Mailroom Closures

All mail submitted for Army bases after 5 pm ET on Tuesday, 10/7, will be delivered on Tuesday, 10/14.

Marine Corps Base Mailroom Closures

All mail submitted for San Diego after 5 pm ET on Tuesday, 10/7, will be delivered on Wednesday, 10/15.

All mail submitted for Parris Island after 5 pm ET on Tuesday, 10/7, will be delivered on Tuesday, 10/14.

All mail submitted for Quantico after 5 pm ET on Tuesday, 10/7, will be delivered on Tuesday, 10/14.

Air Force Base Mailroom Closures

All mail submitted for Lackland AFB after 5 pm ET on Tuesday, 10/7, will be delivered on Tuesday, 10/14.

Navy Base Mailroom Closures

All mail submitted for RTC Great Lakes after 5pm ET on Tuesday, 10/7 will be delivered on Tuesday, 10/14.

Coast Guard Base Mailroom Closures

All mail submitted for Cape May after 5pm ET on Tuesday, 10/7 will be delivered on Tuesday, 10/14.
