Basic Training Mailroom Closures For Memorial Day Weekend

As we head into the Memorial Day weekend, we want to provide important information about mailroom closures at your loved one’s basic training location. This will help you ensure that your letters reach your recruit before the long weekend. Please note that the dates below are subject to change depending on the needs of the Command. Additionally, our print room will be closed on Monday, May 26th, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day.

• Wednesday, May 21st: Ensure Delivery for all Army Bases before Memorial Day – Final Print at 5pm ET
• Wednesday, May 21st: Ensure Delivery for MCRD Parris Island before Memorial Day – Final Print at 5pm ET
• Thursday, May 22nd: Ensure Delivery for MCRD San Diego & Quantico before Memorial Day – Final Print at 5pm ET
• Thursday, May 22nd: Ensure Delivery for all RTC Great Lakes before Memorial Day – Final Print at 5pm ET
• Thursday, May 22nd: Ensure Delivery for Training Center Cape May before Memorial Day – Final Print at 5pm ET
• Thursday, May 22nd: Ensure Delivery for JBSA Lackland before Memorial Day – Final Print at 5pm ET

Mail sent after 5:00 PM ET on Wednesday, May 21 and before 4:30 PM ET on Friday, May 23 will be delivered on Tuesday, May 27.

Mail sent after 4:30 PM ET on Friday, May 23 will be printed and shipped on Tuesday, May 27, and delivered on Wednesday, May 28.

Marine Corps Basic Training

MCRD San Diego

• Mail sent after 5:00 PM ET on Thursday, May 22 will be delivered on Wednesday, May 28.

MCRD Parris Island

• Mail sent after 5:00 PM ET on Wednesday, May 21 and before 4:30 PM ET on Friday, May 23 will be delivered on Tuesday, May 27.
