As various commands throughout the force have canceled or suspended attendance at family events and basic training graduations due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the team at Sandboxx HQ are working hard to ensure families can stay connected with their loved ones at basic training through their letter service.
Here at Sandboxx News, we maintain close ties with the entire Sandboxx team–in large part because we believe that a coordinated effort between the various parts of the company offers us the best possible approach to maximizing the benefit we can be to the military community at large. The majority of our staff at Sandboxx News are veterans, military spouses, and even active duty contributors. The military community is our community, and we feel fortunate to get to play a role in that dialogue.
That’s why we wanted to share this video of Sam Meek, our CEO, co-founder, and a Marine veteran, as he walks us through the printing room and introduces us to some of the men and women that are making sure letters are printed and delivered as rapidly as ever, despite the limitations the outbreak of Covid-19 has placed on both employers and employees all around the country.
In this video, you’ll see Sam giving the tour, but you’ll also see Bobby Vigil, Sandboxx’s Operations Manager and a Marine Corps infantry veteran. Then you’ll meet Phil Linder, Sandboxx’s director of operations, and a soldier that flew Blackhawks for the Army National Guard. These guys know how important letters are, because they’ve seen their value first hand.
Currently, there are no anticipated delays in the Sandboxx Letters service, and the team at HQ are maintaining a strict adherence to the precautionary guidelines outlined by the Department of Defense and the Center for Disease Control.
Here at Sandboxx, we see the opportunity to serve those who serve our nation as a privilege, and we work hard to make sure our efforts are always with the service member and their families in mind. At Sandboxx News, that means keeping you informed without the sensationalism you might find elsewhere. At Sandboxx Letters, that means working the hours, taking the precautions, and ensuring we can help keep families and trainees connected, even when they’re kept physically apart.
That’s not a marketing pitch, it’s the belief that guides us. We’re here for you, because of you. And we will be throughout this stressful time.
